Cat Grooming
The benefits of regular grooming and brushing will distribute the natural oils in the coat which will help keep the coat healthy. You will avoid dander, dry skin and the discomfort of matting. During the grooming we check for skin abnormalities, ear problems, fleas and ticks.
Frequent brushing at home will decrease the amount of shedding and the amount of hair ingested during self-grooming. Please remember your cats skin is very thin, use gentle pressure when brushing and combing.
We recommend the following:
Short Hair Cats – home brushing once a week and a professional grooming every 8 to 12 weeks.
Long Hair Cats – home brushing 2 to 3 times a week and a professional grooming every 4 to 8 weeks
We will gladly demonstrate the proper brushing technique and correct equipment to use at no charge,
after a complete grooming procedure.
